Art and tech hackathon for the youth
Youngsters from Espoo high schools attended an art and technology hackathon that we organized together with Espoo Museum of Modern Art. Two groups built their own art installations in just two days and used technology as a tool to take their ideas to the next level.
Programming with mothers and daughters
Elisa partnered with us in order to bring the excitement of programming to both mothers and daughters. We organized several music programming workshops in Elisan Kulma during a weekend.
Programming workshops at the Norwich Football Club
We organised programming workshops in the city of Norwich together with Seriously and Norwich City Football Club. During the workshops the local youth learned the basics of Ruby by programming their own songs with Sonic Pi.
Creative technology education in 10 Sub-Saharan countries
Codebus Africa and Aalto University organised creative programming workshops in ten different African countries in February-May 2017. Mehackit provided the open-source materials for the workshops and we helped to organize the workshops in the township of Khayelitsha in Cape Town. The project was led by the Aalto University and partners included Finland 100 and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland.

Mehackit organized programming workshops for 300 high schoolers at Slush Youth.
